Linz is home to good theatres and concerts. The Landestheater offers a range of classic plays and shows. The Brucknerhaus is the main venue for classical music.
There are a good number of wine bars and other venues that stay open late. Linz has several discos and night clubs in the center of Linz, in Urfahr and its various suburbs as well as in the nearby villages in the Muehlviertel.
During the winter months Linz has a good selection of balls. The ball season is usually until the middle of February.
